CMP Names Seth Nichols President and CEO of New Internet B-to-B Initiative

CMP Media (http://www.cmpnet.com/), a leading provider of high-tech news and information, today announced that Seth Nichols has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's new Internet business-to-business initiative, an online marketspace that will offer the information, tools and procurement solutions that business technologists need to get their jobs done. Nichols, 39, will oversee the strategic implementation of the initiative that will leverage CMP's existing suite of print and digital assets.

Nichols, who joined CMP in 1997, was previously Managing Director of CMP's Channel Interactive Products. In this role Nichols developed the vision and strategy that resulted in the creation of the profitable Channel Interactive Products group.

Before joining CMP, Nichols spent nine years in marketing, sales and business development at Charter Systems, a Boston-based reseller organization. He also served eight years as MIS Director at Lexington, MA-based Pequot Industries and four years as a network manager at M/A-Com in Burlington, MA.
