CMP Media Internet & Mobile Group will host a new conference this year, the Internet+Mobile Conference & Exposition, to be held at San Francisco's Moscone Center from September 4-8. The new conference is designed to educate Web and mobile professionals on the most effective ways to deploy current mobile technology and incorporate it into business operations. The show will be co-located with WEB2001, an annual conference for Web professionals in its seventh year.

"Last year, 60 percent of WEB2000 attendees told us that their organizations were actively involved in developing for mobile technology," noted Simon Tonner, show director. "Internet+Mobile differs from other conferences because it focuses on what is possible today, not what might be possible in a few years' time. We aim to give attendees the knowledge and practical know-how they need to evaluate and deliver mobile solutions within their organizations right now."

The WEB2001 and Internet+Mobile joint exposition floor will attract an estimated 12,000-14,000 attendees from Fortune 1000 and established brick-and-mortar companies that are developing enterprise-wide Internet and mobile strategies. Sponsored by M-Business magazine, Internet+Mobile has gathered some of the industry's pioneers in Web and mobile technologies to teach educational sessions. One of the show's highlights is University4Mobility, a full-day session taught by Andrew Seybold and Barney Dewey, designed to give attendees a comprehensive understanding of the wireless landscape and today's most promising mobile technologies. Seybold currently heads the Andrew Seybold Group, LLC and is editor-in-chief of Forbes/Andrew Seybold's Wireless Outlook.

"Smart companies are focusing on using mobile technology to achieve measurable competitive advantage," said Bryan Mason, conference program manager. "Internet+Mobile is an opportunity to network and learn from industry experts how to turn concepts into real-world mobile solutions."

Internet+Mobile will offer more than 40 classes including "Planning a Mobile Strategy: A Systematic Approach to Wireless Implementation," "Elements of Mobile Security" and a full-day intensive course titled "The Wireless Web in Detail." Representatives from Palm, Microsoft, RIM, Ceritcom, mBrane, 724Solutions, and Rational Software will participate in the conference and offer their insight into the future of mobile computing.
