CMP Media and Gruppo Mondadori Announce Exclusive Online License Agreement in Italy

Deal With Italy's Largest Publishing Company Represents a Global Expansion of CMP's Online Products and Components

The Internet Group of CMP Media Inc. (http://www.cmpnet.com/), a leading provider of high-tech news and information, today announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Gruppo Mondadori (http://www.mondadori.com/), Italy's largest publishing company. The agreement signals a further step in the global expansion of the Internet Group's online products and components, including TechWeb and WinMag.com.

The agreement allows Gruppo Mondadori to license content from CMP Media's major online destinations, including TechWeb (http://www.techweb.com/), for use on Mondadori.com as well as online versions of Mondadori's top magazines. Mondadori.com users can access TechWeb's content in Italian through its technology hub, MyTech (http://www.mytech.mondadori.com/). TechWeb is CMP Media's most popular online site of news, information and services for IT professionals and includes the product-testing site Winmag.com.
