CMP Media's Network Computing is gearing up for its sixth consecutive Real-World Labs LIVEĀ® Demonstration of Voice over IP and Quality of Service to be held during NetWorld+Interop, Atlanta, September 27-29, 2000.

Scheduled hourly, each day of the show, Network Computing editors will lead discussions on technologies and current issues, hold demonstrations, and test several Voice over IP and QoS Technologies at the Real-World Labs Live located in the Level 3 East Lobby of the Georgia World Congress Center.

"This is a highly educational event for attendees, and has consistently attracted standing-room-only audiences" said Kathryn Dopman, Network Computing Director of Sales and Marketing/East. "The promise we make to our attendees is to deliver the right in-depth information that they can use to help them make buying decisions, and we successfully achieve this through purely editorially driven face-to-face events."

Based on the results of lab tests and workshops conducted over the past year, attendees of the event will learn:

  * How to design networks that can reliably support Voice over IP and
     Quality of Service
  * Where Voice over IP should be deployed
  * What services are available right now, and in the near future
  * Key questions to ask product vendors

In addition to the editorial content, Network Computing's sponsoring vendors, Agilent Technologies, Hewlett Packard, Shomiti Systems Inc., Sitara Networks and Spirent Communications will showcase their products and distribute literature to attendees following each demonstration.
