Deloitte to attendees: "promote a passion for technology"

Deloitte Global CIO Larry Quinlan will kick off the opening keynote session with powerful advice -- IT leaders should cultivate a sense of possibility and excitement in the workplace culture, around what technology can do for both clients and the internal organization. In his presentation, "A Passion for the Possible: How a Technology Culture Pays Off," Quinlan will explain how to leverage tech trends to hit bottom-line business goals.

Mobile and cloud have completely upended the way we work

CTO of ASCD and author Gregory Smith will discuss the monumental shift from N-tier architecture web-based applications that run in a browser to mobile device installed applications. This change impacts how IT professionals plan, design, deploy and manage mobile applications—with cloud-computing playing an ever increasingly important role. Smith will discuss the opportunities and challenges with mobile and cloud computing convergence in "Mobile & Cloud Computing Merge to Form a Supernova of Computing Opportunities."

From IT technician to the C-suite

Technology permeates all aspects of an organization. There is a critical need for technology expertise at the executive level of any enterprise, according to Symantec COO Stephen Gillett. During his closing keynote address, he'll relate his personal career story. Starting as a help desk technician, he eventually landed the CIO title at Starbucks, and ultimately transitioned to his current position at a Fortune 500 technology leader. In "No Limitations: The Need for IT Professionals in the C-suite and Beyond," Gillett will encourage IT professionals to insert themselves into the highest levels of organizations to drive transformation.

Interop Las Vegas keynote presentations will take place Wednesday, April 2 and Thursday, April 3, 8:30 - 10:15 am. For a full keynote schedule visit: interop.com/lasvegas/conference/keynote.php.
