UBM Tech to Present Strategies On Optimizing Exhibitor Relationships to Generate Event Sales at the Expo 365 Marketing Summit

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Tech's portfolio of essential business and technical information for design engineers and the electronics industry today announced that Karen Field, Senior Vice President, Editorial Director, EE Times & General Manager of EE Live!, and Linda Uslaner, Marketing Director, Events, will discuss how to optimize exhibitor relationships and generate event sales at the Expo 365 Marketing Summit in Chicago, the premier event for show directors, marketers and sales professionals, on November 21, 2013.

Field and Uslaner will provide examples of how they have optimized exhibitor relationships and generated sales for DESIGN West 2013, the industry's largest and most comprehensive electronics technology conference and expo in the United States. They will also speak about the evolution of DESIGN West to EE Live! 2014 which is scheduled to take place March 31 – April 3, 2014 at the San Jose Convention Center.
Field is responsible for driving community, developing cutting-edge educational/training programs and creating unique interactive events and exhibits where design engineers can learn and network with their peers. In addition, she is developing a unified content strategy for both online and events, with the ultimate goal of delivering a world-class, year-round experience for the global electronics community. A former design engineer, Field brings 20+ years of experience working in the electronic media industry at Reed Business Information, including Design News, Electronics Weekly and EDN. She has created highly unique content that leverages conventional and cutting-edge media and showcases community-generated content, and is the architect of many popular products including the Manga-influenced Slack Variable comic strip, chronicling the adventures of a primate engineering super hero; the Gadget Freak, showcasing reader-submitted schematics and build instructions for backyard inventions; and the Sherlock Ohms Blog and Sherlock Ohms Investigators Club, featuring real-world engineering investigations and peer-to-peer discussions.
Uslaner is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs for UBM Tech's Electronics Events – ARM Techcon, DesignCon and EE Live! Previously, she was the Regional Marketing Director at The Institute for International Research where she directed the marketing strategy for a portfolio of annual executive conferences and web events. During a 20-year history at UBM, she has held several marketing supervisory roles, including Marketing Director at CMP Electronics' Group where she conceptualized and managed the development of marketing strategy and campaigns for its Embedded portfolio of events, websites and print publications. Earlier in her career, Uslaner was employed with Frost & Sullivan and The NPD Group.
