SAN FRANCISCO, July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Tech's InformationWeek announced four new editors and one promotion today.  All four editors will contribute to InformationWeek's move onto a new community-based media platform, where IT professionals will find the latest technical and business information; connect with their peers and with InformationWeek's editors and contributors; and ultimately engage with that community to ask and answer questions, share ideas and debate the latest issues.

Wyatt Kash joins the team as Editor of InformationWeek Government. Kash will lead InformationWeek Government's editorial mission to provide IT professionals at federal, state and local government agencies with news, analysis, research, and insight on IT strategies and initiatives. Previously, Kash was part of an AOL startup team that helped create, launch, manage and market a specialized government IT news website featuring advanced social media tools. He is based outside Washington, DC.

Shane O'Neill joins InformationWeek as Managing Editor.  Prior to InformationWeek, O'Neill  was Assistant Managing Editor at CIO.com, and his news stories and blog posts have appeared in a variety of Web and print publications, including NYTimes.com, PCWorld.com, Computerworld.com and Bloomberg Businessweek. In 2011, he won an ASBPE Bronze Award for his blog "Eye On Microsoft."

Alexandra Rudansky joins InformationWeek Healthcare as Associate Editor.  A recent graduate of Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, she has interned at McClatchy Washington Bureau, Chicago Sun-Times and the Washington Post.

Kristin Burnham joins the InformationWeek team as Senior Editor. She will cover social business, IT career and leadership issues, and general assignment news. Burnham most recently served as senior writer at CIO.com, where she covered social business and led IDG's efforts on Facebook. Burnham won a 2010 National Digital ASBPE Gold Award for a story she wrote related to Facebook privacy. She will be based outside of Boston. She is a graduate of Syracuse University.
