MANHASSET, N.Y., Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP's Light Reading (http://www.lightreading.com/), which networks the telecom industry, announced today the promotions of R. Scott Raynovich to Publisher of Contentinople (http://www.contentinople.com/), a Website focused on the new technology, business models, and infrastructure driving digital entertainment media, and Phil Harvey to Editor in Chief of Light Reading, the world's leading publishing, research, and events company for communications service providers. Raynovich and Harvey will both report to Joe Braue, Group Senior Vice President, Light Reading.

Raynovich, most recently Light Reading Editorial Director, will be responsible for all editorial content and sales for Contentinople. He will also continue to co-manage Internet Evolution (http://www.internetevolution.com/), a Web 2.0 site dedicated to investigating all aspects of the future of the Internet. With his editorial and publishing experience, Raynovich will play an essential role in meeting and surpassing Contentinople's growth plans in 2008. Contentinople targets key business and technology executives providing new media content services, such as broadcasters and studios, media companies, and Internet companies.

As Editor in Chief of Light Reading, Harvey will be responsible for managing the editorial staff while driving strategy. In his previous role of Managing Editor, Harvey handled the day-to-day editorial operations of Light Reading. In his current post he will ensure that Light Reading remains committed to its readership and market with deep, analytical reporting. In 2007, Harvey's exclusive investigative reporting led to coverage of a telco equipment cabinet explosion, which occurred in October 2006, the result of malfunctioning AT&T batteries supplied by Avestor.

CMP's Braue said, "Scott and Phil have distinguished themselves within the telecommunications industry, and we are pleased to announce these well- deserved promotions. Both Scott and Phil are important assets to the continued growth of Light Reading, and I am confident that they will continue to drive innovation in the communications market in the years to come."
