Joseph Braue Appointed SVP and Group Director of CMP's Light Reading; Industry Veteran to Strengthen CMP's Communications Portfolio

MANHASSET, N.Y., Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP today announced that industry veteran Joseph Braue has been appointed Senior Vice President and Group Director of Light Reading, the world's leading online communications publication.

Braue brings more than 20 years of editorial and publishing experience in the telecommunications and IT sectors to Light Reading, which provides news and analysis via LightReading.com, and paid research through HeavyReading, a leading telecommunications research firm. Light Reading also produces leading industry events such as Ethernet Expo, Optical Expo and The Future of Broadband. This fall, Light Reading launched Contentinople, a new online brand focused on the emerging digital content media and distribution industry. Braue reports to Tony Uphoff, President of CMP's Business Technology Group (BTG), which includes TechWeb, the leading online destination for decision-making IT professionals and InformationWeek, the leading IT media brand.

Previously, Braue was Vice President and Group Publisher for Data Communications magazine and founded tele.com magazine in 1996. He has a BS in communications from St. John's University, New York City.
