MANHASSET, N.Y., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CMP Technology, a targeted media and marketing solutions company serving the technology industry, today announced that Marie Myers, Senior Vice President, Manufacturing will be inducted into the 2007 Publishing Executive Hall of Fame. These executives represent the best of the best in the publishing industry and will be honored for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the printing and publishing industry at a Hall of Fame gala in Chicago's McCormick Place September 10.

Myers has been employed with CMP for 25 years and has nearly 30 years of experience in the publishing industry. A strong leader and innovative thinker, Myers has added new processes such as a digital asset management system, ad portal and virtual proofing. Currently, she is working on changing CMP's internal work flow from Rampage ripped files to a PDF work flow. In preparation for the 2007 United States Postal Services increases and other such pending increases, Myers brought CMP into co-mailing, co-palletization and other distribution cost savings methods. Myers was responsible for CMP's flagship publication, InformationWeek's co-binding with U.S. News & World Report, which was the first time weeklies from different publishing companies coordinated the process on the bindery machines at the printer.

"Marie has made many contributions to CMP," said Steve Weitzner, President and CEO, CMP Technology. "Working with a stellar team, Marie has stayed on top of pre-media changes and instituted new systems which streamlined our customers' submission of their digital files and saved our company millions of dollars. I applaud Marie on her success and this recognition." Myers is also listed as one of the top 12 in Publishing & Production's "People to Watch" and won the 2007 Media Business Innovator Award.

The Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from nearly 1,500 entries submitted within 50 different categories. Winning pieces surpassed their competitors based on print quality, technical difficulty and overall visual effect.
