SAN FRANCISCO, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- CMP Game Group, organizers of the industry-leading Game Developers Conference (GDC) and GDC Mobile, today announced its first Mobile Games Seminar to be held September 27-28, 2007 at the Los Angeles Marriott Downtown. The seminar offers attendees the knowledge and tools crucial to shortening mobile game development cycles through lectures and tutorials on programming, production, art, design and audio. The seminar will also explore a variety of business options, including alternative distribution and merchandising models.

"As GDC Mobile has grown over the past six years, we have seen the mobile games business mature and have recognized the need for a dedicated forum that offers the technical mobile games developer community a place to come together to tackle the common challenges involved in the development of mobile content," said Evelyn Donis, Conference Manager.

"The Mobile Games Seminar was created to address the technical, artistic and operational challenges facing our industry," said Matthew Bellows, General Manager of Floodgate Entertainment, and member of the Mobile Games Seminar Advisory Board. "From engineers to executives, I believe everyone who attends the seminar will find approaches and resources to help them with their most vexing mobile game issues."

Speaker submissions are now being accepted through June 8 on topics covering:

  - New approaches to solving technical issues on different platforms and
    SDKs, including: J2ME, BREW, Flash Lite, Windows Mobile and N-Gage;

  - The complexities of production pipelines, porting, testing and

  - Techniques to enable enhanced graphic APIs and audio;
