SAN FRANCISCO, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Interop, produced by CMP Technology, today announced it has expanded its program to address the latest trends affecting the ever-changing business technology landscape. Once again in 2007, Interop is helping drive the adoption of technology by expanding its boundaries to examine a broader range of emerging technologies such as Green IT, Municipal Wireless and Enterprise 2.0 and their intersection with existing business IT. Interop Las Vegas 2007 will be held May 20-25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

With over 450 participating exhibitors, Interop will address the hottest technology topics affecting business today. Expanded technology focus areas include:

  * Green IT -- "Interop goes Green!" This expanded program will address
eco-advantage strategies that companies are implementing to address
their environmental impact. Attendees can hear "Green to Gold" author
Andrew Winston and a panel of peers discuss the driving forces behind
these new business practices and how companies are changing their
operating, marketing and sales strategies in response.
  * Security -- Security continues to be a primary concern for today's IT
executives, and this year security technologies will have a larger
presence than ever before at Interop. The number of security vendors
participating has increased, now accounting for 25% of all vendors
    represented at Interop.
  * Muni Wireless -- Interop is dedicating more programs to Muni Wireless,
with a number of sessions added to address both the technical and
business model hurdles of deploying a successful municipal wireless
    broadband network.
  * Enterprise 2.0 -- As Web 2.0 technologies proliferate, they are
increasingly seeping into the enterprise. Interop will address how these
consumer technologies are intersecting with business technologies, how
they are affecting the way work is done and what business IT
professionals can do to prepare for and leverage these technologies in
    their organizations.

To aid business IT professionals in successfully utilizing new and existing technologies, Interop has also expanded their workshop offerings to include:

  * CSO Bootcamp -- Based on the successful CIO Bootcamp, Interop is
introducing the CSO workshop to address the increasing demands of IT
security professionals. The CSO Bootcamp features a panel of successful
CSOs that will provide insight into the skills required to become a top
    security executive.
  * NAC Day -- Network Access Control (NAC) represents the most significant
change in the way that networks are secured since the invention of the
firewall. Interop offers a full-day seminar that will discuss the
fundamental concepts behind NAC, issues to expect when deploying NAC in
enterprise networks and key strategies to ensure successful NAC planning
    and deployment.
  * SMB Solutions Summit -- With small- and medium-size businesses (SMB)
representing the fastest-growing segment of business IT today, Interop
is introducing the SMB Solutions Summit. The SMB Solutions Summit offers
tailored programs to address how security, wireless and VoIP
technologies will impact SMB networks, and how these technologies can be
utilized to help grow their businesses.
  * Broadband Wireless World -- This expanded set of sessions is dedicated
to the advancements and opportunities in broadband wireless. Broadband
Wireless World will be co-located at Interop, joining the Performance
Zone, Security Zone and Start Up City as the newest Interop Technology
    Zone.
  * CRN Hall of Fame -- The CRN Industry Hall of Fame Channel Industry Forum
offers valuable insight into the future of the Channel in 2007,
firsthand views of the latest technology solutions, partner program
opportunities and hot industry trends. The CRN Industry Hall of Fame
Awards Reception is the highlight of the program, where CRN will induct
