From July to September 2004, ITS tested and verified that the NetScreen-ISG 2000 can sustain 2-Gbps firewall throughput performance and 1 Gbps 3DES/SHA1 VPN performance with any packet size. Additional performance metrics showed that the NetScreen-ISG 2000 can negotiate between 22,000 and 30,000 TCP sessions per second, with little-to-no ill effect on HTTP performance.
