Nearly three quarters of the respondents to an industry survey conducted by CMP Media Inc.'s InformationWeek magazine believe that push technology -- the broadcasting of software upgrades and information to users' desktops over the Internet -- will influence the way they conduct business.

Results of an InformationWeek NetWorld+Interop Industry Opinion Poll, conducted over the Internet, indicate that 70 percent of the poll's more than 170 participants feel it is either very much or somewhat likely that the development of Internet push technology will have an impact.

The remaining 30 percent of those polled thought that their business would see little or no impact from these technologies.

The InformationWeek NetWorld+Interop Industry Opinion Polls are being conducted each day at the trade show in conjunction with CIC Research, Inc. and ExcelSoft Technology.
