CMP Media (http://www.cmp.com/) announced that it is uniting all of its products for business users of information technology in a single Enterprise Group under Senior Vice President/Group Publisher Fritz Nelson. In this new role, Fritz will oversee the InformationWeek Media Network, the Network Computing Enterprise Architecture Group, and all other products and services focused on the enterprise IT audience. Previously, Fritz was publisher of Network Computing and group publisher of the Enterprise Architecture Group. He joined CMP in 1992 as Senior Editor of Network Computing.

"CMP has a big lineup of products serving the Enterprise IT audience including broad industry publications and websites as well as highly targeted magazines, events and microsites that serve vertical industry segments and specific technology user groups," said Gary Marshall, CMP Media president and chief executive officer. "This mix of broad and deep offerings provides the technology marketer endless opportunities to target and deliver a message. Fritz's brief is to make these products and services easily accessible to both our customers and audiences."

"Fritz is a well-known player in the IT industry and one of a very few people in publishing management who started as an IT professional. He has a strong ability to understand and serve the needs of both the IT buying audience and the IT vendor community," said Steve Weitzner, executive VP and chief operating officer.

In addition, CMP Media announced four other promotions on their key brands:

publisher of InformationWeek. Starting with CommunicationsWeek, Scott
has distinguished himself with his brand-building expertise.

publisher/sales of InformationWeek. For more than six years, Matt has
been active in growing sales of the InformationWeek brand.
