EE Times, the industry newspaper for engineers and technical management, announced a number of key editorial management promotions and new hires as part of a broad effort to prepare for the next phase of the publication's growth.

Leading off the changes, Brian Fuller (bfuller@cmp.com), has been named Editor of EE Times and will oversee day-to-day editorial operations of the newspaper which serves more than 160,000 subscribers. A nine-year veteran of EE Times, Fuller most recently served as Executive Editor, News. Fuller retains his responsibility as Editor of eetimes.com, which he has helped grow to three million views per month.

"Brian has the news acumen, the industry perspective and the strong people skills to help drive the EE Times editorial organization to the next level in its reporting in print and online," said Rick Merritt, EE Times' Editor-in- Chief.

As Fuller takes over day-to-day responsibilities at the newspaper, Merritt (rbmerrit@cmp.com) will devote more attention to long term initiatives aimed at strengthening connections between the publication and its readers. "This is a great opportunity for me to take a more strategic look at how EE Times can best serve our readers; busy engineers and technical managers that need reliable business and technology news that will help them do their job better," he said.

In tandem with Fuller's move to Editor, David Lammers (dlammers@cmp.com), has been named Executive Editor, News based in Austin, Texas.
