Scott Bourne, founder and executive director of First-TV, will speak Tuesday, April 8 at the National Association of Broadcasters conference.

Bourne will speak about entertainment programs on the web, as well as trends and how businesses are using the web to feature soap operas, interactive games, news and information. His presentation is from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Las Vegas Sands Convention Center, room 201.

For the second year in a row, Bourne was named in the April Websight magazine's list of 100 most influential people on the World Wide Web (http://www.websight.com/). Bourne was recognized for his involvement in implementing streaming audio and video technology.

Bourne was named on the list last year for his role as founder of NetRadio, pioneering the use of streaming audio and original programming on the 24-hour, Internet-only radio network.

In a partnership formed last April, Bourne joined CMP Media Inc., to build First-TV (http://www.first-tv.com/). First-TV was launched Sept. 18, 1996 with its flagship program -- Fresh Click: Life Online. The program is comprised of seven segments covering Internet news, product reviews and Internet personalities. Segments include Web Wars, a debate between two Internet experts over issues of the day, and Web Women, a look at what women are doing on the web.

The week it was launched, First-TV was selected as Microsoft Network's best of the web.

Besides producing original content, First-TV is a forum for emerging videographers and filmmakers, who can submit their work at no charge. First-TV gives the film community a world-wide audience, and visitors to the site can view the films and videos and rate them.

Bourne is also executive producer of LifeOnline Radio, an hour-long radio magazine about the Internet, that is broadcast nationally via satellite at 3:06 p.m. eastern time on Saturdays via the Talk America Radio Networks. Listeners can also tune into the show on the Internet (http://www.lifeonlineradio.com/).

The April 12 show will be broadcast live from the 107th floor of the Stratosphere hotel in Las Vegas.
