International Game Developers Association Kicks Off 2003 Scholarship Program For College Students Around the WorldPRNewswire-FirstCall The International Game Developers Association (IGDA), an independent, non-profit association established by game developers for the betterment of the industry, opens the 3rd annual Student Scholarship Program today. 25 college students will be awarded complimentary full access passes to the Game Developers Conference (GDC) March 4-8, 2003, opening the doors to coveted conference seminars and panel discussions, show floor exhibits and potential job opportunities. The IGDA's Education Committee and board members will judge scholarship applications. "The breadth of information (and contacts) available at GDC runs the gamut -- from programming, art, audio and design to business. This scholarship program provides a rare opportunity for some of the brightest undergraduate and graduate students to meet and learn from professionals." Students can now apply online for an IGDA scholarship at www.igda.org/scholarships. The deadline to enter is Monday, January 7, 2003. Recipients will be announced in late January 2003. Applicants are required to be full-time college students (or equivalent) and IGDA student members for consideration.
