Digital Video Expo East Concludes Successful Week-Long Run in New York City As the East Coast's Largest Pure DV Event

CMP Media's DV Media Group today reported on the success of its second annual Digital Video Expo East conference and exhibition, held from July 8-11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Thousands of digital video professionals converged to visit nearly 100 exhibiting companies (including Adobe, Avid, Canon, Canopus, Discreet, JVC, Matrox, Panasonic, Pinnacle Systems, Pioneer, Sharp Electronics, Sony, and more), many of whom used the event as a platform from which to unveil their latest products and services.

Created as a spin-off of Digital Video Expo West, which launched in 1997, Digital Video Expo East debuted in New York last year as an event co-located with TECHXNY. Bucking trade show industry trends, Digital Video Expo East's exhibits grew 70% since 2002, enabling it to debut this year as a stand-alone event, and making it the East Coast's largest and most comprehensive conference and exhibition focused on providing information on cutting-edge tools, techniques and technologies to the professional digital community.

Attendees at Digital Video Expo East spent four days exploring the exhibit floor and attending conferences to gain valuable insight into the techniques, tips and tricks used by the industry's leading DV practitioners.
