Diagnostic Imaging & Amirsys Partner to Launch Online CME ProgramPRNewswire-FirstCall Diagnostic Imaging magazine and Amirsys, Inc., publisher of leading diagnostic reference tools, announce a new relationship to deliver continuing medical education (CME) to the radiology community. The content will be produced by Amirsys and delivered via Diagnostic Imaging's Web site, diagnosticimaging.com. Scheduled to launch in 2003, the online CME activities will allow radiologists to earn educational credits based on Amirsys products, such as PocketRadiologist™. Content will be derived from Amirsys' frequently updated proprietary database of rich image diagnoses and associated cases. diagnosticimaging.com currently has more than 30,000 registered users who visit the site for daily news updates, clinical content, webcasts, and other special features related to the practice of radiology. In 2003, users will also be able to earn timely CME credits on the site. "Our audience has voiced its desire for more choices in ways to earn CME credits," said Vicki Masseria, president of San Francisco-based CMP Healthcare Media, publisher of Diagnostic Imaging magazine. "Expanding our present in-print CME program with online activities based on content provided by Amirsys is something we're proud to offer our magazine subscribers and site visitors." "Demand for our products has far surpassed expectations," said Amirsys President Paul Scholtes. "We see diagnosticimaging.com as the perfect vehicle for transporting our content into the hands of the individuals for whom it will be most valuable." He added, "translating our reference data into online CME was a logical step and a service we're happy to deliver." All CME activities will be administered by CME, Inc., a division of CMP Healthcare Media, and a fully accredited provider of continuing medical education for physicians.
