Internet Users Can Now Hear LifeOnline Radio Over The InternetAudio guide to the Net uses VivoActive Player 2.0 to supplement national satellite radio broadcastPRNewswire CMP Media's LifeOnline Radio launched VivoActive Player version 2.0 today, allowing listeners to hear the show any time on the LifeOnline Radio web site. LifeOnline Radio (http://www.lifeonlineradio.com/) and its sister web site First-TV (http://www.first-tv.com/) are the first Internet sites to implement the new VivoActive 2.0 Player. LifeOnline Radio, an hour-long audio guide to the Internet, is also broadcast nationally via satellite at 3:06 p.m. eastern time on Saturdays via the Talk America Radio Networks. "Now, with VivoActive 2.0, anyone with an Internet connection can listen to LifeOnline Radio even if the show isn't broadcast in their area," says Scott Bourne, executive producer and founder of LifeOnline Radio. "It also gives listeners the opportunity to tune in when it's most convenient for them." VivoActive 2.0 is a significant breakthrough in streaming audio and technology. "It provides superior quality audio that surpasses anything presently available, including RealAudio," says Bourne. An ActiveX controller automatically downloads the VivoActive player for visitors to the site who use Microsoft Explorer. Netscape users can download VivoActive free at the Vivo site (http://www.vivo.com/). LifeOnline Radio features several regular segments, including Web Wars, a cross-fire between Net columnists and NetTips, an Internet how-to section featuring listener questions. Veteran computer journalist Paul E. Schindler Jr. is the principal host and contributing producer. Segments are broadcast from the East and West Coasts and the Midwest. The LifeOnline Radio web site features transcripts of the radio show, a schedule of upcoming show topics and live chat. Veteran net users as well as newbies can interact with hosts by using a toll-free phone number, faxes, e- mail and postal mail.
