InformationWeek, the leading IT media brand, in conjunction with Network Computing and Optimize, today announced they will launch a new editorial product called "Government Enterprise" in March 2003. This new supplement to the three publications will address the distinctive needs of IT professionals in the federal, state and local governments.

"Government Enterprise" will offer news analysis, in-depth case studies, product testing and evaluation and groundbreaking research on the challenges specific to IT initiatives within all levels of government. The supplement will address issues common to both the public and private sectors, including privacy and cyber-security and will highlight examples of how the sectors are working together, providing readers with models for their own initiatives. Additionally, it will focus on individuals that drive innovation, change and progress in the public sector -- shaping debate, highlighting critical issues, and showcasing achievement and triumphs.

"Across all of our media brands, we are continually looking to innovate and invest to further provide value for our customers, be it our readers or media partners," said Michael Friedenberg, VP and publisher of InformationWeek. "Government is a growing sector that is experiencing significant investment. At the same time, public sector IT buyers are facing challenges and opportunities similar to those of their private sector counterparts. We have created 'Government Enterprise' to address the exciting opportunities in the public sector."

"Government Enterprise" will reach 47,000 qualified InformationWeek, Network Computing and Optimize Information Technology executives and managers in the public sector. A website and e-newsletter will launch concurrently with "Government Enterprise" in 2003.
