CMP Receives Industry's Most Privileged Honors for Dogear Peelback Ad Unit and Best Independent Tech Blog Readers Choice Awards

At the min day Summit yesterday, CMP Media was honored with a min's Best of the Web Award for its Dogear Peelback Ad Unit and the Best Independent Tech Blog Awards. The min's Best of the Web Awards program is presented by media industry newsletter and min's b2b to recognize leaders in consumer and b2b magazine publishing online.

The Dogear Peelback Ad Unit won in the b2b "Ad Presentation" category which recognizes a site's ability to serve effective ad messages and offer advertisers unique selling platforms, such as microsites, sponsorships and sweepstakes.

The Dogear Peelback Ad Unit is comprised of an animated graphic that resembles a folded over page corner or dogear. It can be customized to include the client's logo or other creative. When a user 'mouses' over the page corner, the entire page 'peels back' to reveal the advertiser's landing page behind the TechWeb Network news page. Advertisers are provided with a nearly full-page, user initiated ad. This opportunity provides advertisers with broad exposure of their brand messaging across the TechWeb Network.

The Best Independent Tech Blog Readers Choice Awards won in the b2b "Web site Marketing" category, which recognizes leadership and innovation in interactive marketing of a publisher's Web site.

Tech Blog Readers Choice Awards was the first website marketing promotion of its kind for the TechWeb Network (http://www.techweb.com/). Site visitors were asked to nominate their favorite independent tech blogs. A winner was selected from ten finalists; all of them received six months of promotion on the TechWeb Network.
