In addition, Liz Nardone has been promoted from Marketing Manager to Director of Events. In her new position, Capone is charged with driving integrated media sales for InternetWeek print, online and event business in the eastern part of the United States. Based in CMP's New York City office, she will work closely with the Eastern Regional Customer First Sales Team, which covers the East Coast, Chicago and Canada markets. Capone previously acted as Managing Director of National Brokerage for Insignia/ESG, a commercial real estate firm, where she focused on driving the use of technology to address business issues. Prior to that, she led InformationWeek's Custom Publishing and Integrated Marketing division, which worked to build new business and revenue streams for the brand through the development and implementation of integrated marketing solutions that combined print, online media and seminars. Capone also contributes her expertise to a number of highly visible philanthropic organizations, acting as a board member for several foundations and non-profit organizations. Newly named Features Managing Editor Violino is responsible for managing key editorial projects, including the InternetWeek 100 special issue and the Transformation of the Enterprise special issue. He will also edit in-depth stories appearing regularly in the newspaper. Violino comes to InternetWeek from InformationWeek, where he was most recently editor-at-large. Violino has been writing news and feature articles on information technology and its impact on business for InformationWeek since 1991 and in the technology industry-at-large since the early 1980s. Nardone, who was instrumental in creating InternetWeek Learning Programs, will be charged with the management and growth of these face-to-face event programs. In addition, she will play an instrumental role in launching InternetWeek's newest program, The Transformation of the Enterprise 2000 Conference, a two-day event focused on the Internet-enabled supply chain issues and challenges. For the past three years, Nardone has been InternetWeek's Marketing Manager.
