CMP Media's Network Computing announced today it will broadcast a live NetSeminar to educate participants on web-based quality of service tools designed to optimize the online customer experience. The Virtual NetSeminar, led by a Network Computing contributing editor and sponsored by Hewlett-Packard Company, will highlight service quality solutions -- such as HP WebQoS -- that proactively control web site performance and resources to ensure a consistently optimal experience for end users. The webcast will take place October 25, 2000 from 11:00am - 12:00 pm Pacific Time.

Using a combination of audio, video and chat technologies, the NetSeminar, powered by ENEN.com, will enable audiences to receive real-time information about Web-based quality of service technology effectively and efficiently over the Internet. An interactive chat session will follow the presentation so that attendees can ask questions or provide comments and feedback in real-time. Following the live NetSeminar event, an archived version of the presentation, complete with the audio portion of the event and a transcription of the interactive chat session, will be available for six to 12 months for access anytime, from anywhere.

"In today's business world, the speed of technology and an individual's personal schedule is just about moving at the same pace. We recognize our readers are looking for a convenient way to keep up with the most recent advances in the field, while simultaneously managing their daily workload," said Kathryn Dopman, director of sales and marketing east for Network Computing. "Virtual seminars are gaining popularity for just this reason; they allow the busy IT community to "attend" an educational seminar on current industry trends without having to leave the office."

"As the number of e-businesses and companies providing e-services continues to grow rapidly, web quality of service has become an increasingly important issue," said Alan Ota, marketing director for HP WebQoS product line. "HP realizes businesses need to differentiate themselves to remain at the forefront of today's competitive online landscape by providing their customers with an instantaneous, secure and personalized environment for conducting Internet transactions. Our goal is to help organizations succeed by supplying the tools they need to ensure the optimal online experience and increase customer loyalty. It's no longer simply about attracting customers, it's about how to keep them coming back."

Key Points:

Virtual NetSeminar attendees will walk away with the understanding of how to maximize their on-line marketing and IT investments by:
